How Warranty Requests Are Reviewed
A roof leak can come from the roofing system, HVAC equipment, plumbing vents, wall openings, skylights, stucco, windows, gutters, or work performed by other trades. The inspection helps identify the source.

Planet Roofing reviews your request and contacts you for additional details or an inspection appointment.
3. Leak Inspection
A leak inspection may be performed to determine whether the issue is related to work completed by Planet Roofing.
Submit Your Warranty Service Request
Please complete all required fields. This form is designed for warranty service review and roof leak inspection requests.
A leak inspection will be performed to determine whether the source of the leak is related to the roofing system installed or any work completed by Planet Roofing.
If it is determined that the leak is not related to the roof or any work previously performed by our company, a non-refundable minimum inspection fee of $500 will be due upon completion of the inspection.
This fee covers the cost of time to arrive, labor, diagnostic work, and reporting.
What Can Cause a Roof Leak?
Not every leak is caused by the roof membrane, tiles, shingles, or metal panels. A professional inspection helps separate roofing-related issues from other building or mechanical causes.
1. Roofing System
Membrane seams, flashings, underlayment, tiles, shingles, edge metal, and penetrations are thoroughly reviewed.
2. Other Trades & Mechanicals
HVAC, plumbing, satellite, solar, stucco, windows, and other work on or near the roof may affect watertightness.
3. Maintenance & Drainage Items
Clogged drains, blocked gutters, standing water, debris, and unsealed penetrations can create leak symptoms.
Helpful Information to Prepare
- Project address and contact name
- Photos of the interior damage or leak stain
- Photos or videos of roof area, if safely available
- Date when the leak was first noticed
- Any recent work performed by AC, solar, or plumbing
- Copy of contract, warranty, or invoice if available
